Our dark balsamic vinegar is made from the Pedro Ximenez grape, which is used to make a dessert wine and other red varietal grapes from the Jerez region of Spain. Imagine port wine turned into balsamic vinegar. Raw and unpasteurized. No sugar, caramel coloring, or preservatives added. It contains naturally occurring sulfites.
NOTES: black currants, dark berries, jam
SUGGESTED USES & PAIRINGS: use in dressings and meat glazes. Pairs well with greens and arugula.

I love caprese salad! I used garden fresh grape tomatoes and basil, garlic and mozzarella pearls with the dark balsamic vinegar and olive oil drizzled over the mix. The flavor is amazing paired with the tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Absolutely delicious!

This is by far my favorite dark balsamic. It's sweet and thick but not artificial. It's hard to describe the flavor, but I highly recommend you try it. I use it for a simple balsamic vinaigrette (balsamic, olive oil, and just a little dijon mustard), or reduce it down in a pan for a balsamic reduction.
