Our bulk dark balsamic vinegar is made from the Pedro Ximenez grape, which is used to make a dessert wine, along with other red varietal grapes from the Jerez region of Spain. Imagine port wine turned into balsamic vinegar. Raw and unpasteurized. No sugar, caramel coloring, or preservatives added. It contains naturally occurring sulfites.
PACKAGING: sustainably packaged in a 750ml recycled glass wine bottle that we collect from local restaurants and wine shops. Glass wine bottles are fully recyclable and come with a reusable cork.
NOTES: black currants, dark berries, jam
SUGGESTED USES & PAIRINGS: use in dressings and meat glazes. Pairs well with greens and arugula.

This is the most delicious balsamic I’ve had. I’ve given it as gifts to several friends. They love it, too. The service zero waste is especially appreciated by me. I make sure I’m never without it.

This is a new pantry staple for me. I love all of the Saffi products I've tried (which is most) and this one is no different. It's a standout. I've been buying good quality balsamic from Whole Foods for all of my adult life and never thought I'd be loyal to a particular brand but this one has been a game changer. I usually use balsamic as the base to mix up my own vinaigrette (typically a classic mustard and herb-style dressing) but this vinegar stands on its own. Salads have gotten so much simpler to prepare because I just use the Saffi EVOO and this balsamic and it's more delicious than anything I could whip up using extra ingredients and steps. As a mom of two small children who eats salads almost daily, I appreciate anything that helps get dinner on the table faster :). I have recommended or gifted this to so many friends and family members. Please don't ever take this off your site!
